Implantation

Implantation is the key process for pregnancy to be achieved and is a key moment in all assisted reproductive treatments. The mechanism trough which the embryo gets in contact with the endometrium and invades it in order to continue its growth is very complex and can be modified by numerous factors. Thus, when there are implantation problems, it is essential to take into account possible infections of the endometrium or “endometritis” as well as the ability of the endometrial tissue to receive the embryos, what we call “endometrial receptivity.”
